A Powerball ticket sold in New Hampshire came just one number short of winning Saturday night’s jackpot, while no ticket matched all six numbers, sending the grand prize climbing even higher for the next drawing.
The winning ticket was sold at the 7-Eleven on Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack, according to lottery officials.
Officials said the ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers and the Powerball number during Saturday night’s drawing.
The winning numbers were 6, 17, 27, 48 and 50, with the Powerball number 5.
Although the Merrimack ticket was among the night’s winning tickets, officials said there was no jackpot winner.
As a result, the Powerball jackpot continues to grow.
The estimated jackpot for Monday night’s drawing now stands at $748 million, giving players another opportunity to compete for one of the nation’s largest lottery prizes.
