JERSEY CITY, N.J. — A Jersey City man has been charged with murder after prosecutors said his sister died from injuries she suffered during an alleged assault earlier this year.
According to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a home on Woodlawn Avenue shortly after 11:30 p.m. on April 13.
When officers arrived, they found 47-year-old Yanesha Bradley suffering from serious injuries.
Prosecutors said Yanesha Bradley told officers that she had been attacked by her brother, 40-year-old Alerjuan Bradley.
Yanesha Bradley was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment.
She later died on June 5.
According to the medical examiner, the cause of death was determined to be complications from blunt force injuries, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Prosecutors said Alerjuan Bradley was arrested on Friday and charged with murder.
He is being held at the Hudson County Correction Facility pending his first court appearance.
Attorney information for Alerjuan Bradley was not immediately available.
The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office has not released additional details about the investigation.
