BOSTON — Boston police are investigating a triple shooting that occurred Sunday evening in the city’s South End neighborhood.
Officers were called to the area of O’Day Playground on West Newton Street at approximately 7:30 p.m. following reports of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
All three victims were transported to nearby hospitals with what police described as serious injuries.
Due to the severity of one victim’s injuries, homicide detectives have responded to the scene and are assisting with the investigation.
Investigators remained on West Newton Street Sunday night collecting evidence and interviewing potential witnesses. Authorities have not released the identities, ages, or conditions of the victims.
No arrests have been made, and police have not released any information regarding possible suspects or a motive.
