Holyoke – Authorities in Holyoke report that a coordinated narcotics investigation resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of suspected cocaine and fentanyl on Tuesday afternoon.
The operation, announced by Police Chief Brian Keenan, involved members of the Massachusetts State Police CINRET West unit, led by Detective Lieutenant Rafael Cazares, working in partnership with the Holyoke Police Narcotics Unit.
Investigators carried out a search warrant at approximately 3:10 p.m. on April 21. During the search, authorities recovered roughly 1,050 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 350 bags believed to contain fentanyl, and a small amount of cash totaling $360.
Following the operation, 44-year-old Aneudy Lopez-Santos was taken into custody and transported to the Northampton Barracks for booking.
Officials said Lopez-Santos is facing charges including trafficking a Class B substance as a subsequent offense, along with possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug.
