Worcester – Officers of the Worcester Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop at approximately 1:03 am on Feb. 19 in the area of Southbridge Street. Upon determining the vehicle was operating with a revoked registration and without insurance, both the driver and passengers were asked to exit the vehicle.

An investigation took place during the stop, and officers located multiple bags containing suspected illegal narcotics, including crack cocaine and fentanyl, beneath the passenger seat. The passenger, identified as 31-year-old Juan Toro of Worcester, was taken into custody.

Toro was arrested and charged with Possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute, Possession of a Class B substance with Intent to distribute, and trafficking more than 10 grams of Fentanyl. Along with these charges, Toro also has an outstanding warrant. The vehicle in which he drove was towed from the scene, and the driver was issued a summons to appear in court.
