Rochester, N.Y – Benjamin Scism, age 33, of Accord, New York, has been identified by the New York State Police as the suspect involved in a recent trooper-involved shooting in the Town of Rochester.
Mr. Scism has been charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree
- Menacing in the Second Degree
both charges are Class A misdemeanors and he remains in critical condition at Westchester Meical Center.
Troop F members of the State Police involved in the incident are as follows:
- Trooper Stephen A. Sawyer
- Trooper Jeremy D. Pekoff
- Trooper Ariel B. Grant
This investigation remains active and ongoing.
