UNCASVILLE, Conn. — The 2026 WNBA regular season schedule is set, and the Connecticut Sun will open their 24th season with immediate tests, marquee opponents and a packed slate that stretches from early May through late September.

Connecticut opens the season on the road Friday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. ET against the New York Liberty at Barclays Center, before returning home for the 2026 home opener Sunday, May 10, at 1 p.m. ET against the Seattle Storm. The Sun will play a 44-game regular season, with a 17-day pause from Aug. 31 through Sept. 16 for the 2026 FIBA World Cup.

The Sun will face Eastern Conference rivals Chicago and Washington four times each, while matching up three times apiece with Atlanta, Indiana, New York and Toronto. Connecticut will also play every Western Conference opponent three times, including Dallas, Golden State, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minnesota, Phoenix, Portland and Seattle.

The schedule delivers early star power and high-profile matchups. Connecticut hosts the reigning champion Las Vegas Aces and 2025 WNBA Most Valuable Player A’ja Wilson for back-to-back games May 13 and May 15 at Mohegan Sun Arena. Other headliners include a Commissioner’s Cup matchup with Breanna Stewart and New York on June 8, a Saturday night showdown with Caitlin Clark and Indiana on June 13, and first-ever meetings with expansion teams Toronto on June 10 in Canada and Portland on May 18 in Oregon.

The Sun will again expand beyond Uncasville in 2026. Connecticut will play two regular-season games at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, hosting the Los Angeles Sparks on May 30 and the Dallas Wings on July 2. The franchise will also return to TD Garden for a third straight season, hosting the Sparks on Aug. 18, continuing a run that produced sellouts and record attendance in each of the past two years.

Commissioner’s Cup play runs from June 1-17, with Connecticut’s six Cup games coming against Atlanta on June 2, Chicago on June 5, New York on June 8, Toronto on June 10, Indiana on June 13 and Washington on June 17. All Cup games count toward the regular-season standings, with the championship scheduled for June 30.

The Sun’s longest homestand runs from June 13 through July 2, while the longest road trip comes early, from May 18-27. Connecticut will play 10 games in May, nine in June, 10 in July, 11 in August and four in September. The schedule includes four sets of consecutive games against the same opponent and just one back-to-back, on Aug. 25 and Aug. 26.

Connecticut’s final game before the All-Star break is July 22 at Indiana, and the final contest before the FIBA World Cup break comes Aug. 30 at Dallas. The last opponent the Sun will see for the first time is Phoenix, during a road game July 17.

Season tickets, partial plans, group packages and suite options are available now, with single-game tickets to be released at a later date.
