Boston Police officers hit the streets for Halloween, taking part in a series of community events across the city. District E-5 officers joined the Parkway in Motion Trick-or-Treat on Centre Street in West Roxbury, handing out candy, talking with neighbors about costumes, and showing off the fan-favorite Cookie Monster Cruiser.
District B-2 brought the fun to Hibernian Hall in Roxbury for the Annual BPD Peer Support Unit Trunk-or-Treat. Officers and youth dressed in festive Halloween costumes, and a specially decorated BPD cruiser matched the event’s “Smurf Village” theme. The Boston Police Foundation supported the event.
Command staff and officers from District B-3 and the Bureau of Community Engagement hosted the annual B-3 Haunted House at the district station. Neighbors from Dorchester and Mattapan walked through a fully decorated spooky station and enjoyed candy, hot dogs, and ice cream.
District A-7 joined the Salesian Boys & Girls Club in East Boston for their Trunk-or-Treat celebration. The night featured face painting, pumpkin decorating, bounce houses, and candy, with the officers’ Spongebob-themed trunk a highlight. Officers also joined Halloween events in the North End and Charlestown, connecting with families and neighbors.
Worcester police officers participated in the 11th annual Hill-O-Ween alongside the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and St. John’s Food for the Poor Program. In Hartford, Connecticut, Police Community Service Officer Millie Reyes took part in City Hall-O-Ween at City Hall on Friday night.
