PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Rhode Island State Police had a busy end to the week, making a series of arrests across the state ranging from assault and fraud to DUI and reckless driving.
On Thursday afternoon, October 23, 2025, at 1:20 p.m., Troopers arrested 47-year-old Jordan Pacheco of 21 Willow Street, Riverside, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for the original charges of Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct. The warrant originated out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks. According to authorities, the arrest came after a Barracks investigation and Pacheco voluntarily turning himself in. He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.
That same night, at 10:20 p.m., Troopers took 36-year-old Milano Andre Fields of 199 School Street, Boston, Massachusetts, into custody at Twin River Casino in Lincoln. Fields was wanted on a Superior Court Bench Warrant for a technical violation on the original charge of Manufacturing/Delivery/Possession with Intent to Deliver, stemming from a case with the North Smithfield Police Department. Police said the arrest happened as Troopers assisted Detectives with an unwanted party at the casino. Fields was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.
On Friday morning, October 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., Troopers arrested 52-year-old Clarence Soares of 46 Crandall Street, Providence, on multiple felony charges. Those include Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses Over $1,500, Fraudulently Obtaining Assistance Over $500, Conspiracy (Felony Less Than 5 Years), and Giving False Document to an Agent, Employee, or Public Official. Investigators said Soares turned himself in following a Barracks investigation. He was processed at the Wickford Barracks and transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment later that afternoon.
Just a few hours later, at 1:00 p.m., Troopers arrested 44-year-old Genoveva Dias of the same Crandall Street address in Providence on the exact same charges — Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses Over $1,500, Fraudulently Obtaining Assistance Over $500, Conspiracy (Felony Less Than 5 Years), and Giving False Document to an Agent, Employee, or Public Official. Police said Dias also turned herself in at the Wickford Barracks as part of the same ongoing investigation. She was processed and brought to Third Division District Court for arraignment.
At 1:19 a.m. Friday, Troopers arrested 24-year-old Kassidy K. Barnatowicz of 980 Knotty Oak Road, Coventry, for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense, and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop on New London Turnpike in East Greenwich. Barnatowicz was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a summons to appear in Third Division District Court.
Later that night, at 9:30 p.m., Troopers arrested 20-year-old Emmanuel Zapata Morales of 164 Cross Street, Central Falls, for Reckless Driving – First Offense. The arrest followed a crash on Route 4 in East Greenwich. Morales was taken to the Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
