BOSTON — A late-night drug and firearm bust near Causeway and Portland Streets Friday led to two arrests and the seizure of a loaded 9mm Beretta, crack cocaine, fentanyl, and cash, according to Boston Police.
Officers patrolling the downtown area spotted what appeared to be a street-level drug deal behind a business and moved in. One of the suspects, identified as 24-year-old Stephano Toussaint of Lowell, was found carrying multiple bags of crack cocaine, a fold of fentanyl, and a concealed firearm with an obliterated serial number.
The Beretta APX 9mm was loaded with 13 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber. Toussaint also had a “belly band” holster hidden under his sweatshirt. Police said the gun was removed safely from the suspect during the arrest.
Toussaint faces a long list of charges, including Trafficking Class B (Cocaine), Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A (Fentanyl), and multiple firearms offenses. A second suspect, 43-year-old Sharleen McNeil of Roxbury, was arrested on outstanding drug warrants.
Police recovered 21 grams of suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, and cash. Both suspects are scheduled to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
