The Connecticut State Wildcats hosted the Milford Academy Falcons at PAL Field on Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats were looking to extend on their 11-game win streak.

The Falcons took just four plays to score on their first drive as quarterback Domenico Berlingieri found Derrick Brodham for a 32-yard touchdown pass. The next two touchdowns, also for the Falcons, came by way of running back Kyreese Bradley, giving Milford Academy a 21-0 lead.

Down 27-0 and after punting on their first four drives, Connecticut State’s fifth drive showed promise as they got all the way to the Falcons’ 14-yard line. Once again, however, they were unable to find the end zone as quarterback Connor Schipritt was stripped of the ball with Taylor Hondor returning it 86 yards the other way for a Falcons touchdown to extend the score to 33-0.

After a fourth down interception on their next drive, Schipritt was benched for Sam Wallach. Down 41-0, Wallach got the Wildcats on the board as he found Tre Jones for the team’s first touchdown.

Milford Academy would force another turnover and score as Liam Barry caught a pass from Berlingieri and then threw it to a wide open Troy Varaudakis in the right corner of the end zone to close out the final score of 48-7.

Connecticut State will look to begin a new win streak in two weeks when they host CAPP Academy on Saturday, Oct. 11. A time and location for this game have yet to be determined.
