CAA Football unveiled its Week 2 award winners Monday, with standout performances across the league drawing recognition. Monmouth quarterback Derek Robertson earned Offensive Player of the Week, William & Mary’s Luke Banbury and Bryant’s Brandon Perkins shared Defensive Player of the Week, New Hampshire kicker Nick Reed was tabbed Special Teams Player of the Week, and Elon quarterback Landen Clark took home Rookie of the Week honors.

Offensive Player of the Week – Derek Robertson, QB, Monmouth
Graduate quarterback Derek Robertson delivered a record-setting day in Monmouth’s 49-28 road win at Fordham. The Hartsdale, N.Y. native completed 30-of-44 passes for 364 yards and a program-record six touchdown passes, while also adding his first career rushing score. Robertson fired five TD passes in the first half before sealing the game with both a rushing touchdown and a seventh score through the air in the fourth quarter. His six touchdown passes stand as the most by any FCS player in 2025 so far.

Co-Defensive Player of the Week – Luke Banbury, LB, William & Mary
Banbury set the tone for the Tribe’s 28-27 victory over Maine, racking up a career-best 16 tackles—the highest total by any CAA defender this season. The graduate linebacker also broke up three passes, including one in the final minutes that directly led to an interception, helping W&M secure the win. His leadership helped the Tribe hold Maine to just 97 yards passing on the day.

Co-Defensive Player of the Week – Brandon Perkins, LB, Bryant
Perkins played a pivotal role in Bryant’s 27-26 upset win over FBS opponent UMass, the program’s first-ever win against an FBS team. The senior linebacker registered a career-high 14 tackles, including 2.0 for loss. With the game on the line, Perkins came up big again, recording two stops on a late UMass possession that forced a three-and-out and set up the Bulldogs’ game-winning drive.

Special Teams Player of the Week – Nick Reed, K, New Hampshire
Reed was the difference in New Hampshire’s 19-16 thriller over Holy Cross. The sophomore kicker hit four field goals, capped by a 40-yarder as time expired to secure the win. Along the way, he connected from 33 and 30 yards, and drilled a career-long 50-yard kick to tie the game in the fourth quarter. Reed accounted for 13 of the Wildcats’ 19 points.

Rookie of the Week – Landen Clark, QB, Elon
Making just his second appearance, redshirt freshman Landen Clark powered Elon to a 55-7 blowout over Davidson. Clark played only one half but piled up 284 total yards and four touchdowns. He went 15-of-24 for 247 yards and three TDs through the air, while also adding a rushing score. The Phoenix led 41-0 at halftime thanks in large part to Clark’s breakout performance.
