On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, just before midnight, Connecticut State Police from Troop H in Hartford received multiple 911 calls reporting erratic operation of a white Volvo XC40 sport utility vehicle on I-84 eastbound near Exit 40 in West Hartford. Callers reported that the driver was failing to maintain her lane and traveling well below the speed limit, posing a hazard to other motorists.

Troopers located the vehicle near Exit 44 and confirmed the erratic driving behavior. When a trooper attempted to stop the SUV using emergency lights and sirens, the driver complied but came to a complete stop in the roadway instead of pulling over to the right shoulder.

Police identified the driver as 30-year-old Adrienne Fedyna Dembeck of West Hartford. Troopers reported that she showed clear signs of impairment and agreed to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which she subsequently failed.

Fedyna Dembeck was placed under arrest without incident and transported to Troop H for processing. She was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain a proper lane on a limited access highway, and failure to stop on the right side of the roadway.

She was released on a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court on September 22, 2025.
