Boston police and partner agencies arrested multiple individuals over the weekend of August 16 and 17, 2025, in a series of firearm-related incidents across the city, many of them involving juveniles.

On Friday, August 16, at 175 West Boundary Road in West Roxbury, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force, working with Transit Police, Boston Housing Authority Police, and the Massachusetts State Police, arrested 18-year-old Kyleik McGee of Boston and a 16-year-old male juvenile for firearm offenses. Police said they had been patrolling the Georgetowne Housing Development when they observed a large group of juveniles loitering near a vehicle in the Ohrenberger School parking lot. As officers approached, two individuals attempted to walk away, then fled on foot while clutching their waistbands.

During the pursuit, McGee was seen discarding a firearm, later recovered as a Glock 27 .40 caliber pistol loaded with four rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber. The 16-year-old juvenile was found to be carrying a 9mm ghost gun with a high-capacity magazine containing 14 rounds.

In a separate incident early Saturday morning, District B-3 officers in Mattapan arrested two juveniles, ages 14 and 13, after a ShotSpotter activation in Dorchester. The suspects were later linked to surveillance footage showing them firing a gun. A Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolver with four spent cartridges was recovered, along with a live .38 caliber round.

On Sunday morning, District B-2 officers in Roxbury arrested 18-year-old Eddiarky Nolasco of Charlestown following a foot chase. Police recovered a Taurus G3C pistol loaded with 12 rounds and a bag containing 26 loose rounds of ammunition. That same evening, 19-year-old Ricardo Cadet of Boston was arrested at a summer festival in Playstead Park after police discovered a Beretta Model 96 handgun loaded with 11 rounds in his backpack.

On Monday, August 18, around 1:00 AM, District B-3 officers arrested a 17-year-old juvenile male in Dorchester after dispersing a large unruly crowd. The juvenile was found carrying a Taurus G2C handgun loaded with 11 rounds.

Police said all firearms have been seized as evidence and that the suspects are expected to face arraignment in district courts in Boston and West Roxbury.
