WASHINGTON — The United States has announced a $4 billion Foreign Military Financing (FMF) loan guarantee to the Republic of Poland, underscoring its deepening security partnership with one of NATO’s most committed allies.
This substantial support recognizes Poland’s serious investment in its own defense and its leadership role on NATO’s Eastern Flank. Since 2023, Poland has taken major steps to modernize its military and strengthen its sovereignty through the acquisition of advanced U.S. defense platforms, including Apache helicopters, the Airspace and Surface Radar Reconnaissance System, HIMARS rocket systems, and the Patriot missile defense system.
The FMF loan guarantee enables key U.S. partners like Poland to purchase American-made defense systems, enhancing not only European security but also supporting U.S. jobs and innovation in states such as Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, and Texas.
This initiative promotes peace through strength, ensures allies are equipped with reliable, battle-proven systems, and reinforces America’s position as the world’s leading defense industrial base.
Today’s announcement reaffirms the United States’ commitment to strong bilateral partnerships built on mutual respect, shared investments, and strategic priorities. Together, the U.S. and Poland are advancing NATO’s readiness, deterring aggression, and standing united for freedom and peace across Europe.
