Granville, N.Y. — A man was killed and another person injured following a head-on crash Thursday evening on State Route 22 in Granville, according to New York State Police.
Troopers responded to the scene at approximately 6:42 p.m. on July 24. The investigation determined that a northbound vehicle, driven by Donavan R. Bowers, 39, of Bolton Landing, crossed into the southbound lane and collided with an oncoming vehicle.
Bowers was transported to Glens Falls Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Their condition has not been released.
The roadway remained closed until about 1:00 a.m. on July 25 while authorities conducted an investigation and crash reconstruction. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
