BOSTON — A Roslindale man was arrested Friday afternoon on drug trafficking charges following a joint investigation by the Drug Control Units of District E-5 (Roslindale/West Roxbury) and District E-13 (Jamaica Plain), according to Boston police.
Marcus Hurt, 39, was taken into custody shortly after noon on July 19 during a drug investigation near 202 Dunwell Ave. Officers conducting surveillance observed Hurt exit the building and stopped him at 4399 Washington St., police said.
Police informed Hurt that they had a search warrant for his person and his residence. A search of the suspect reportedly led to the recovery of $2,667 in cash.
Officers then executed the search warrant at the associated apartment, where they recovered a plastic bag containing 28 grams of crack cocaine, a separate bag containing 18 grams of cocaine, and a digital scale, according to authorities.
Hurt was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in West Roxbury District Court on a charge of trafficking a Class B substance.
