On Monday morning, the Connecticut Sun announced the decision to waive Robyn Parks, who had contributed two points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals over the course of six games in the team’s first seven contests of the 2025 WNBA season.
The Sun shared that Parks would be joining the Greece Women’s National Team to compete in the prestigious 2025 FIBA Women’s EuroBasket Championship.
In the wake of Parks’ departure, the Sun quickly moved to signing Jaelyn Brown to a contract for the remainder of the season.
Brown, who initially signed with the Dallas Wings during the 2024 regular season, averaged 2.6 points and 1.5 rebounds over her 14 appearances with the team. In February 2025, she was traded to the Indiana Fever, where she attended training camp; however, she was ultimately waived before the start of the regular season.
A standout player at the University of California, Berkeley, Brown has built a noteworthy career overseas, showcasing her skills in various leagues across Turkey, Hungary, and Sweden.
