The Connecticut Sun are gearing up for the 2025 WNBA season with two upcoming preseason games that will showcase their competitiveness.

On May 4, they will face the Seattle Storm at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, having won seven of their last nine matchups against the Storm despite losing the 2024 regular season series 1-2. Their last preseason encounter dates back to 2007, where the Storm emerged victorious.

Following that, the Sun will travel to Brooklyn to take on the New York Liberty on May 9 at Barclays Center. Last season, the Liberty defeated the Sun in their only exhibition game, marking a close contest with a final score of 82-79. Over the past eight seasons, this will be the Sun’s sixth preseason game against the Liberty, and they hold an impressive 4-1 record in those matchups.

Historically, the Sun have excelled in preseason play, boasting a remarkable 17-3 record since the 2015 season and winning eight of their last ten games.

The Connecticut Sun will kick off their regular season at home, at the Mohegan Sun Arena on May 18 against the Washington Mystics.
