On Wednesday night, the Boston Celtics faced off against the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, looking to extend their winning streak to seven games. Unfortunately for the Celtics, their strong run came to an abrupt halt as they fell to the Pistons with a final score of 117-97.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with an impressive performance, scoring 27 points, which included hitting four three-pointers. In addition to his scoring, he contributed six rebounds and three assists. Tatum’s shooting prowess has been on display recently, as he has successfully made three or more three-pointers in ten of his last 11 games, showcasing his consistency and ability to stretch the floor.

Derrick White also had a notable impact on the game, finishing with 18 points while providing three assists and grabbing three rebounds. White has been on fire from beyond the arc, sinking 19 three-pointers over his last four contests, making him the third-most prolific three-point shooter in the NBA during that stretch. His ability to score has been vital for the Celtics, as he has now recorded double-digit points in a remarkable 13 consecutive games, marking his longest scoring streak of the season.

Payton Pritchard contributed to the Celtics’ efforts with 18 points of his own, complementing his performance with four assists, three rebounds, and a steal. Pritchard has been particularly effective in recent games, tying for the fourth-most three-pointers in the NBA with 18 made over his last four appearances. His shooting skill has helped keep the Celtics competitive, even in challenging matchups.

Despite individual highlight performances, the Celtics struggled as a team, unable to find their rhythm on the road against a well-prepared Pistons squad, marking a disappointing end to their winning streak.
