Police in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Saturday responded to a bomb threat at St. Margaret’s Shrine.
The call was determined to be a swatting incident, and Bridgeport Police are investigating the incident with other law enforcement.
The City of Bridgeport says that similar calls were received in other jurisdictions and also said that a swatting incident is designed to create anxiety and to mobilize an emergency response when no threat exists.
