A New York State Police and FBI undercover operation in the Town of Wallkill, New York, has led to the arrest of seven individuals involved in the online exploitation of children.
New York State Police said the operation took place over several days, deploying highly trained investigators and agents to infiltrate online platforms where the exploitation of children is often facilitated.
Investigators and Agents used advanced cyber tactics and were able to identify individuals attempting to exploit vulnerable children through the internet and meet them in person.
Steven M. Masnaghetti, 37, of Newton, NJ; Moises Ortega, 37, of New Windsor, NY; Omar Palma-Santos, 36, of Middletown, NY; David Fisher Jr., 44, of Mountainville, NY; and Rafael Rosas Martinez, 38, of Highland Mills, NY were all arrested and charged with Attempted Rape 2nd, and Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Kervin Constant, 56, of Middletown, NY, was arrested and charged with Attempted Dissemination of Indecent Material to Minors and Attempted Rape 2nd.
Dimitriy Smolskiy Jr., 31, of Mahwah, NJ, was arrested and charged with Public Lewdness. He was issued an appearance ticket.
