The Worcester Red Sox hosted the Toldeo MudHens in the second game of a six-game series at Polar Park in Worcester, MA on Wednesday evening. The WooSox were coming off a 12-2 win over Toldeo on Tuesday.
The MudHens got off to a hot start in this game as they led 3-0 headed into the bottom half of the first inning. Worcester quickly bounced back, scoring two runs of their own in the first to close the gap to 3-2.
Down 4-2 in the bottom of the third, Vaughn Grissom drove in two runs to tie the game at 4. He would later knock in the go-ahead RBI in the seventh inning to give the WooSox a 5-4 lead.
They would hold on to win that final score, winning the first two games in the series and their 10th game overall in the last 11 tries.
Game 3 of the series will also be played tomorrow night at Polar Park in Worcester. First pitch is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. ET.
