Late Monday afternoon law enforcement sources in Massachusetts and in California confirmed to NewsTalk that Dejan Dante Belnavis was arrested in San Diego.
Belnavis is wanted by the Worcester Police Department in connection to the homicide of Chasity Nunez and her 11-year-old daughter, Zella, who were shot while sitting in a vehicle last Tuesday.
A straight warrant was issued out of Worcester District Court on Wednesday for Belnavis, and he is charged with firearm-armed assault to murder and carrying a firearm without a license.
A second suspect, Karel Mangual, a 28-year-old from Worcester, was arrested last week and was charged with armed assault to murder.
