The Boston Celtics took on the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN on Monday night. They were coming off a 124-114 win over the Brooklyn Nets.
Jayson Tatum scored 32 points, shooting 12 of 22 from the floor, but it was Anthony Edwards who scored the game-high 38 points as the Timberwolves handed the Celtics their first loss of the season in overtime, 114-109.
Four Celtics starters scored in double figures as Jalen Brown scored 26 and Kristaps Porzingis scored 20 to go along with Tatum’s 32. Sam Hauser scored 11 points coming off the bench.
Boston will look to bounce back from their first loss as they travel to take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
