The New England Patriots travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys in what will be the homecoming of Ezekiel Elliott. The current Patriots running back will face his former team for the first time since leaving this last season.

On the Cowboys side of the ball former Patriots Stephon Gilmore and Brandon Cooks will be on the Cowboys sideline taking on their former team. Cooks played with New England during the 2017 season while Gilmore played from 2017-2020 with the Patriots.

Ezekiel Elliott isn’t the only Patriot with a homecoming as rookie Christian Gonzalez will play his first NFL game in his home state of Texas. 

This meeting will be the 15th meeting between the Cowboys and Patriots. The Cowboys won in Gillette Stadium for the first time in a 35-29 overtime win during their last matchup. 

That overtime win snapped a six game win streak for the Patriots for the Cowboys. The all time series is 6-8 for the Patriots with a record of 2-4 on the road all time.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick is looking to make history of his own as he aims to become the third coach in NFL history to reach 300 career regular season wins.

New England has multiple players listed as questionable on the injury report for Sunday. Guard Cole Strange, defensive lineman Christian Barmore, defensive lineman Davon Godchaux, cornerback Johnathan Jones, and cornerback Shaun Wade.

Dallas offensive tackle Tyron Smith is listed as out. The Cowboys have three players on their injury report as questionable. Tight end Peyton Hendershot, guard Zack Martin, and center Tyler Biadasz are all listed as questionable.

The two teams play at AT&T Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 4:25PM EST.
