Friday afternoon the Red Sox confirmed infielder Luis Urías has been placed on the 10-Day injured list due to a left calf strain.
Enmanuel Valdez from Triple-A Worcester will fill Urías’ spot on the active roster.
The Sox also confirmed Friday afternoon that David Hamilton, on Thursday underwent a successful left thumb UCL repair. The procedure, the Sox said was performed by Dr. Thomas Graham at Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute.
