Thursday morning Boston Mayor Michelle Wu will hold a press conference at Boston City Hall to share storm preparations ahead of Hurricane Lee’s forecasted impact on New England.
On Wednesday evening, Hurricane, Tropical Storm and Storm Surge watches were issued for the New England coastline and Bermuda was under a Tropical Storm Warning.
Boston is included in the Tropical Storm Watch where sustained winds could reach 39-73 mph, starting Friday evening and into the first part of the weekend.
Shumeane Benford, Chief of Emergency Management and Paul Burke, Boston Fire Commissioner as well as James Hooley, Boston EMS Chief, Mariama White-Hammond, Chief of Environment, Energy, and Open Space, Henry Vitale, Executive Director of Boston Water and Sewer Commission are all expected to join Mayor Wu at the 11:00 AM press conference.
