Friday morning at about 8:00 AM, the Boston Police Department’s Fugitive Unit with the assistance of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Orlando Soto, 24, of Boston, in Newport, Rhode Island.
Soto was wanted on a Murder warrant from Roxbury District Court for the homicide of Moises Ortiz-Santiago, 27, of Dorchester.
On July 30, 2023, around 11:08 PM, Boston Police responded to the intersection of Weldon and Quincy Streets for a report of a person shot.
Upon arrival, officers located Moises Ortiz-Santiago suffering from gunshot wounds.
Ortiz-Santiago was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
