Tuesday night the Worcester Red Sox kicked off a 13 game homestand grabbing a 10-9 win against the Buffalo Bisons (AAA-Toronto). Worcester has won five of their last seven, and are tie with Lehigh Valley for first place atop the entire International League.
In Tuesday night’s win Worcester had 37 at bats, ten runs, twelve hits, ten RBI, and ten walks.
David Hamilton (.247/.809) in Tuesday night’s win had three at bats, three runs, one hit, three walks, and two RBI. In the bottom of the second, Hamilton hit a single 158 ft to left field. Fitzgerald and Sogard both scored.
Nick Sogard, Tuesday night hit his 17th double of the season on a fly ball 398 ft on a fly ball to center. The exit velocity was 96.6 mph, and the launch angle was 29 deg. Ronaldo Hernandez scored.
Wednesday afternoon, the Worcester Red Sox will continue their seven-game series with the Bisons at 12:15 PM. at Polar Park.
RHP Mitch White (0-1, 10.07) will start for the Buffalo Bisons vs. Garrett Whitlock (0-0, 1.42) who will start for the Worcester Red Sox.
