At Gateway Center Arena in College Park Atlanta, GA, on Saturday, Atlanta Dream hosted the Connecticut Sun for the final matchup between the two teams in the 2923 regular season. The Sun grabbed the win, 86-78 over the Dream to win the season series 3-1.
Rhyne Howard led the Dream with 22 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Cheyenne Parker and Allisha Gray each recorded seventeen points. Parker had eight rebounds and one assist, while Gray had seven rebounds and two assists. Aari McDonald added fourteen points to today’s game.
Connecticut Sun was led by DeWanna Bonner, who recorded 20 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Thomas and Hiedeman both tallied fifteen points in today’s win. Thomas had two offensive rebounds, nine defensive rebounds, and eight assists, while Hiedeman had three rebounds and two assists. Allen tallied eleven points in today’s win while Hayes tallied ten points in her 300th career game.
The Sun had 36 points in the paint while the Dream had 22 points in the paint.
The Sun’s biggest lead in today’s game was twenty points.
