On Wednesday the Connecticut Sun traveled to Chicago for their 20th game of the season, their second game of the season against Chicago Sky, and they picked up their 15th win of the season, their second win against the Sky. 

In their first meeting with the Sky, the Sun grabbed a 97-72 win, and today they grabbed an 84-72 win. The Sun have scored 181 points against the Sky in their first two of four meetings this season. Wednesday, the Sun outscored the Sky in the paint 46-30, and from the bench 17-13, while the Sky had the advantage with 13-7 in second chance points and on the fast break were 16-14.

Tiffany Hayes led the Sun Wednesday with 33 minutes played and 22 points on the board. She had seven rebounds and four assists, and she knocked down a season-high four triples in the outing.

DeWanna Bonner finished Wednesday with 21 points, six rebounds, one assist and one block while Alyssa Thomas finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists, and DiJonai Carrington tallied 11 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 25 minutes off the bench.

The Sun will head into the All-Star Break and then will return to action Tuesday, July 18 when they visit the Phoenix Mercury for the first time in 2023 at 10:00 PM ET/7:00 PM PT.
