Connecticut Sun beat Atlanta Dream 85-68

The Connecticut Sun were led by former Atlanta Dream guard, Tiffany Hayes, who tallied 20 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block against her team of ten years.

Her former team would be led by Alisha Gray who scored 12 points. 

Gray’s teammates AD Durr and Aari McDonald would each score 11 in the loss.

Brionna Jones the 2021 Most Improved Player and the 2022 Sixth Women of the Year would score 12 points while also grabbing eight rebounds.

The sixth overall pick in the WNBA Draft Haley Jones from Stanford would make her second preseason appearance for the Dream scoring four points in 19 minutes of play.

Jones’s teammate who was drafted two picks later at eighth overall Laeticia Amihere would also get her second postseason appearance scoring 4 points in 9 minutes of action.

The Sun ended the preseason 2-0 in the Coach Stephanie White Era and haven’t lost a game this postseason as the Sun hope to return to the Finals.

The Atlanta Dream were 0-2 in the preseason with the other loss coming to the Washington Mystics this past Wednesday.

The Dream will return to action in their regular season debut on Saturday May 20th versus the Dallas Wings.

The Sun will begin their regular season on Friday May 19th against the Indana Fever.
