By DJ Harding –

The Boston Celtics officially book their ticket into round two behind a 128-120 win.

Boston would make some key plays down the stretch including forcing a turnover with 17 seconds left having a better endgame performance compared to game five.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown would each score more than 30 points with Tatum scoring 30 exactly and Brown scoring 32 which is the second time the duo have each scored 30 during this playoff run.

The Celtics are 2-0 when the two Jay’s score at least 30 each.

Tatum’s 30 is an improvement for game five as he only had 19 points on Tuesday. Al Horford also would improve from game five going from three points to ten in game six.

Horford would also grab 12 rebounds to go along with the 10 points on the day.

For Atlanta Trae Young would score 30 points which was his fourth 30+ point game of the series. Young would score 25 in the first half and go a bit cold with only 5 points during the second half.

Dejounte Murray would return for Atlanta after being suspended for game five. Murray would score zero points in the first half but would get it going in the second scoring 14 points in the final half and give him 14 for the whole game.

Marcus Smart played the third most minutes and score the third most points behind Boston’s two Jay’s playing 32 minutes and scoring 22 points.

Jayson Tatum post game would apologize to Janet Jackson. Referring to her concert in State Farm Arena that had to be rescheduled.

“We should’ve closed this out and game fine, so I hope she sees this and I’m sorry about that.” Said Tatum

Welp Janet Jackson’s concert will be tomorrow and the Boston Celtics advance to face the Philadelphia 76ers.

These two teams have met the most out of any other matchup in NBA playoff history. They have met 21 times with Boston winning 14 of them.
