Tilton Man Sentenced to 12 Years for Drug and Firearms Offenses

Jared Stottlar, 43, of Tilton was sentenced to 144 months of imprisonment today for possessing with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and possessing a firearm in connection with drug trafficking offense, United States Attorney Jane E. Young

According to court documents and statements made in court, during an investigation law enforcement learned that Stottlar was dealing in significant quantities of methamphetamine. 

Approximately 1.6 Kilograms of methamphetamine and 11 firearms, several of which were stolen, from Stottlar were seized when Police executed searches.

$100,000 was also recovered by Law enforcement from the defendant. Stottlar was arrested on federal charges on June 9, 2020 and has been detained since then.

“The defendant, armed with firearms, trafficked methamphetamine into our communities for profit, The sentence imposed by the court today demonstrates that such criminal activity will not be tolerated and will result in more than a decade of incarceration. Working with our law enforcement partners, this office will continue to actively prosecute armed criminals who traffic dangerous drugs into our communities.” said U.S Attorney Young
