The Boston Celtics would travel to Portland to take on the Trail Blazers. Boston is coming off a win versus the Minnesota Timberwolves. These two games are part of the Celtics six game road trip.
Portland is the fourth game of the six game road trip. Boston is currently 2-1 in the first three games of the road trip with wins versus Atlanta Hawks and Minnesota Timberwolves and the loss coming from the Houston Rockets.
Boston would outscore Portland in the first and second quarter with nearly identical numbers. The Celtics scored 32 points in the first and 31 points in the second. Portland scored 24 points in each of the first two quarters.
The Celtics would be leading 63-48 at halftime and would at one point lead by 21 points.
For the Trail Blazers Damian Lillard would lead a comeback and bring the lead within eight points.
Boston would survive Portland’s comeback attempt and would go on to win the game 126-112 to improve to 49-22.
Portland was led by Damian Lillard who scored 41 points.
Boston would see their normal duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combine for 61 points with Tatum scoring 34 and Brown scoring 27.
Boston will continue it’s Road Trip against the Utah Jazz which is game five of the six game road trip.
