Boston Police Arrest Stephen Freeman of Boston for Murder

Thursday night the Boston Police Department arrested Stephen Freeman, 33, of Boston for Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm and Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. Freeman was taken into custody in the area of Shawmut Avenue and Hammond Street.

On Sunday, February 14, 2023, Boston Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 958 Tremont Street. 

Upon arrival, officers located two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to an area hospital where one of the victims, who has been identified as Terrell Banks, 37, of Boston was pronounced deceased. The second victim’s injuries were determined to be non-life threatening in nature.
