With five games left in the season the Maine Celtics currently sit at third in the Eastern Conference as they took on the Wisconsin Herd Wednesday Night.
Going into tonight’s game Maine was coming off a huge win versus the Long Island Nets who hold the league best record and a 16 game win streak going into that game.
Maine wouldn’t win the first two quarters losing the first quarter 28-29 and losing the second quarter 30-35. This gave the Herd a six point lead going into halftime.
Unlike the first half Boston would seize the opportunity to fight back winning both the third and the fourth winning the third quarter 31-27 and the fourth 23-21 which would tie the game up at 112.
In Overtime the Maine Celtics would outscore Wisconsin 7-2 and go on to win 119-114.
The Maine Celtics improved to a record 17-11 and hold their spot at third in the eastern conference.
The Wisconsin Herd now have a record of 9-19 and are currently 13th in the eastern conference.
Both teams will play each other again on Friday.
