In El Paso, Texas on Monday, U.S. Marshals arrested Thomas Marcel, a fugitive wanted in Connecticut on child sex charges dating back to 2008.

I.S Marshals said “Marcel failed to appear October 12, 2012, before a Connecticut judge following his arrest in 2008 by Connecticut State Police Troop E on two counts of enticing a minor by computer, illegal possession of child pornography, promoting a minor in an obscene performance and risk of injury to a minor.”

Customs and Border Protection located and apprehended Marcel who was attempting to cross back into the U.S. from Mexico.

Marcel was taken into custody in El Paso, Texas, and is being housed at the El Paso County Detention Facility, awaiting extradition back to Connecticut.
