Boston Police Arrest Wanted Fugitive For Murder

In Boston Monday, members of the Fugitive Unit with the Boston Police Department arrested Dion Pelzer, 30, of Boston for the murder of David MacDonald.

“Officers were searching for the suspect when they received a radio call to assist Tufts Medical Police with a removal,” said Boston Police. “Officers responded to the area of 37 Bennett Street to assist, and after a violent struggle, the suspect was able to be placed into handcuffs. Officers conducted a CJIS inquiry of the suspect which revealed that he had a Murder warrant for his arrest. Officers also learned that the suspect was wanted by the New York City Police Department.”

Boston Police said “At about 11:05 AM, on Thursday, February 16, 2023, officers assigned to District A-1 (Downtown) responded to a radio call to investigate a person’s well-being at 65 Martha Road, Boston. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim unresponsive. The victim, David MacDonald, 75, of Boston was pronounced deceased on scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and determined the manner of death was murder.”
