Red Sox 4 – Baltimore Orioles 6

On Sunday the Sox and Orioles met for the first of three Grapefruit League meetings. The Sox were looking to bounce back after losing their last two, but instead they picked up their third L of Spring Training with a 6-4 loss. The Red Sox four runs came at the top of the fourth with Rafaela,.Palka, Goodrum, and Hamilton. The Red Sox and Orioles will meet again on March 18, at JetBlue Park and then they’ll meet in Sarasota on March 21. The two clubs will meet 13 times during the 2023 regular season, including the opening series at Fenway Park from March 30 – April 2.

Red Sox – Yankees

The Red Sox would have two matchups on Sunday one of which was against the New York Yankees. This was their second matchup versus the Yankees winning the first 11-7 last thursday. Sunday’s matchup would result in a 3-3 tie, this is Boston’s fourth tie of Spring Training. Boston would score two runs in the bottom of the fourth which tied the score at two after the Yankees scored two in the top of the fourth. The two Boston scores came from a Greg Allen Triple which scored Resse McGuire and Greg Allen would score himself on a passed ball. The Yankees would homer in the top of the fifth, Adam Duvall would respond for Boston with a fifth inning homer of his own.

New England Revolution – Los Angeles FC

The Revolution started the season 2-0 after picking up wins against Charlotte FC and Houston Dynamo FC. The Revolution would take on LAFC and unfortunately fall to 2-1 as they lost 4-0 to LAFC. LA would score in the 14th, 67th, 83rd, and 96th minute. Goalkeeper Djordje Petrović recorded eight saves tonight, matching his single-game career high. The Serbian international now owns 100 saves in MLS.

Bruins – Red Wings

The Boston Bruins are coming off a win yesterday versus the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 and would play the second of a back to back today versus Detroit. The Bruins couldn’t make it a sweep as they would fall to the Red Wings 5-3. Matt Grzelcyk, Jake DeBrusk, David Pastrnak would be responsible for the three goals Boston scored. Boston now has a record of 50-10-5 which is still first in the Atlantic Division and the most wins in the NHL.

Maine Celtics – Long Island Nets

The Maine Celtics would take on the Long Island Nets in the second of their two straight games against each other. The Nets won the first meeting 115-108 which would extend their win streak to 16 games. The Celtics would put that streak to an end with a 121-112 win. Maine would win behind a 30 point performance by Mfiondu Kabengele and 25 points from Kamar Baldwin. The Celtics improve to 16-11 which is 3rd in the Eastern Conference with only a month left in the regular season.
