Boston Celtics Defeat Detroit Pistons, 127-109

The Boston Celtics hosted the Detroit Pistons at TD Garden in Boston, MA on Wednesday. They were looking to bounce back from their 131-125 overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jayson Tatum, who missed the loss against Milwaukee on Tuesday, came back strong to close out the first half of the season for the Celtics on Wednesday. He scored 38 points, 24 in the third quarter, as the Celtics downed Detroit 127-109.

Brogdon had another impressive performance coming off the bench, scoring 25 points. Al Horford scored 11 points and added seven rebounds, and Derrick White also scored 11 points.

The Celtics led by as much as 19 at one point, but the Pistons were able to close it to a five-point game before Tatum went off with 24 third quarter points. Boston eventually got their lead back up to 19 with 4:29 left and they never looked back from there.

The win for the Celtics is their fifth in their last six games. They finish the first half of the season with the top record in the Eastern Conference at 42-17, one game over the Bucks.

They will head on the road when they return to the All-Star Break to take on the Indiana Pacers on Feb. 24.
