Hartford Yard Goats to Host College Baseball Games at Dunkin Donuts Park

By Stephen Ur –

The Hartford Yard Goats, the Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, have announced that Dunkin Donuts Park, where the Yard Goats play their home games in Hartford, CT, will play host to a handful of college baseball games this Spring.

“We are excited to welcome college baseball back to Dunkin Park,” Yard Goats President Tim Restall said. “Our fans will once again get the opportunity to come out and see some of the best programs in the area, and enjoy the amenities of our wonderful downtown ballpark.”

This will be the sixth season Dunkin Donuts Park will host college baseball games. Yard Goats on-field promotions and concessions will be sold at each game as a re-opening of the park in general.

It all begins on April 1 when the UConn Huskies host the University of Maryland at Baltimore County [UMBC] Golden Retrievers. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. ET. UConn will host two more games at Dunkin Donuts Park as they host Central Connecticut State on April 10 and Yale on April 25.

The University of Hartford Hawks will be the second team to host Yale as the two teams face off on April 12. The University of St Joseph Blue Jays host the Westfield State Owls on April 26, and the final collegiate game played at Dunkin Donuts Park will be played April 27 as Central Connecticut State hosts Quinnipiac.

Tickets are available on the Yard Goats website [yardgoatsbaseball.com] or over the phone at 860-246-4628, or in-person at the Click It or Ticket Box Office at the park.

The Yard Goats season begins on April 6 as they host the Bowie BaySox.
