Boston Police are investigating a fatal shooting incident that happened Sunday morning at about 11:32 a.m. in the area of Fremont Street and Babson Street.
Boston Police said “Officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call for a shot spotter activation in the area of Fremont Street and Babson Street. Simultaneously, officers also received a call for a person shot in the area of 119 Babson Street in Mattapan.”
Upon arrival officers located a male who had been shot. This male Boston Police said “was pronounced deceased on scene.”
The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
