Victim Identified In Worcester Fatal Hit-And-Run On 290

Massachusetts State Police have confirmed Jamal Mustapha, a 27-year-old male from Worcester, was the victim of a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run on Route 290 westbound west of exit 20 in Worcester.

Troopers from the Massachusetts State Police-Holden Barracks, just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday night responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on Route 290 westbound west of exit 20 in Worcester. Upon arrival Troopers determined that Jamal Mustapha, had been struck by multiple vehicles, including possibly a tractor trailer. 

None of the vehicles stopped, Massachusetts State Police said, and they also say “It is unclear if any of the operators knew they had struck a person.”

Jamal Mustapha was determined to be deceased at the scene. Massachusetts State Police said “The crash remains under investigation by Troop C of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and State Police Detective Unit for Worcester County.”
