At BMO Field in Toronto, Wednesday night the New England Revolution played Toronto to a 2-2 draw. In the 31st minute, Toronto’s Federico Bernardeschi scored the game’s opening goal from the penalty spot. In the 37th minute McNamara made his second goal of the season for New England. In the 48th minute Justin Rennicks scored to put New England on top 2-0. But in the 75th minute Domenico Criscito made it 2-2. The Revolution will travel to Quebec on Thursday to prepare for another road test this Saturday, August 20 at CF Montreal.
In Worcester, Wednesday afternoon, the WooSox claimed a 2-1 win over the Rochester Red Wings. Worcester went six scoreless innings before finally getting on the board at the bottom of the seventh with Nick Sogard making it over the plate. In the ninth inning it was a 1-1 game but Triston Casas hit a single to drive in Connor Wong and win this game. Game three of this six-game homestand is Thursday night with first pitch scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
In downtown Hartford Thursday night, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the Yard Goats 13-10.
