Bourne Braves Beat Wareham Gatemen 4-3 In Cape Cod League Classic At Polar Park

While the Worcester Red Sox are on a bus and on the way to Buffalo, NY., Monday the Wareham Gatemen hosted the Bourne Braves for the Cape Cod Baseball League Classic at Polar Park. 

Mac Horvath kicked off this game, making it over the plate at the top of the first to give the Bourne Braves a 1-0 lead. 

After a scoreless second, at the top of the third Tomas Frick made it over the plate to give the Bourne Braves a 2-0 lead. 

Top of the fourth Evan Sleight from Framingham, Mass made it over the plate to give the Bourne Braves a 3-0 lead. Sleight says it was a lifelong dream for him to play in the Cape League. 

After three scoreless, at the bottom of the fourth Owen Diodati made over the plate for the Wareham Gatemen to make this a 3-1 game. 

At the bottom of the seventh Carter Graham and Deric Fabian both scored for the Wareham Gatemen to make it a 3-3 game. But at the top of the eighth Christopher Brito scores to get the Bourne Braves back in the lead 4-3 to win this game.
