The City of Boston is expected to name a new Police Commissioner on Wednesday. In a statement from Mayor Michelle Wu’s press office, “Mayor Wu will host a press conference to announce the new commissioner of the Boston Police Department.”
The press conference will be at the Gertrude Howes Playground, 72 Moreland Street, Roxbury at 11:00 AM, Wednesday.
The notice from Wu’s office comes eight days after she said the city was “getting very close” to naming a new leader for the Boston Police Department.
