In game two of their Wednesday night doubleheader at Sahlen Field, the Worcester Red Sox were seeking their second win of the night after winning game one 3-1.
Yolmer Sanchez, Ryan Fitzgerald and Rob Refsnyder all scored at the top of the first to put Worcester on top 3-0 early in this contest. At the top of the seventh Grant Williams hit his second double of the season to drive in Jeter Downs, Jarren Duran then hit his fifth triple of the season to drive in Grant Williams and then Ryan Fitzgerald hit a single to help drive in Jarren Duran and the scoring parade didn’t end there. Christin Stewart then hit his ninth homer of the season to end this contest with Worcester on top 9-0.
Worcester and Buffalo will have their third meeting of this series Thursday night.
