Massachusetts State Police is investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident on the Mass Pike, I90 westbound in Framingham.
It happened early Friday morning just after 2:30 AM. MSP responded to a car that rear-ended a tractor-trailer at the 113.6 mile marker.
MSP has not released the identity of the operator of the car but has confirmed that the operator was a 29-year-old Worcester woman and she was determined to be deceased on scene.
Upon arrival Troopers located the woman in a 2020 Mini Cooper which they say a “Preliminary investigation reveals that the Mini Cooper was possibly speeding prior to rear ending the tractor trailer. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash.”
MSP says “The crash remains under investigation by members of Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and State Police Crime Scene Services Section.”
Framingham Fire and EMS also responded to the scene to assist MSP.
